Autodesk is phasing out perpetual licenses of their software. Most individual products will only be available on subscription from 1 Feb 2016. This will be a term based contract with quarterly, annual and multi-year options.
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that equips architecture, engineering, and construction professionals with the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure.
“The beauty of BIM is that we can get rid of the walls between design, engineering, and construction. We have to get the governments to understand and contracts to include shared risk all through the project. We’re trying to educate people, because that’s where we’re going to really unlock the value of BIM.”
– Neil Evans, director, Strategy and Business Development, SMEC (Australia)
Use BIM in any type of civil infrastructure project to create visualisations for stakeholder approval, develop 3D models to identify problems before hand-off, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
